The ASC Tube Trap is the foundation of the Attack Wall and a key element to improving any room with sonic "issues". The TubeTrap works unlike any other bass trap/ diffusor, see technical specifications for more information. The the larger the diameter of the TubeTrap, the more efficient it is at lower frequencies.
Another unique feature is the adjustable diffusion grid built into the TubeTrap. The specular diffusion panel that covers half of the TubeTrap is an acoustic choke (L) which is sized, ported and mass loaded to backscatter the treble range.
Additionally, there is a treble range diffuser panel built into the front half of the TubeTrap. By rotating the TubeTrap you move the reflector in or out of your acoustic space. It’s like having an acoustic treble control. The diffusing panel is a suspended/ported limp mass, an acoustic crossover tuned to be transparent in the bass range of sound and backscatters in the treble range.
